Councillors have established, or assisted with, community groups which now cover Bangor.
4,000 copies of a letter have been printed containing the contact details of these community groups. These will distributed to the groups from this afternoon for local distribution. A copy of the letter is attached for information.
The Council has established a fund to assist community groups and individuals suffering additionally due to the impact of the virus. It has been agreed to initially allocate £5,000 per month to the fund, for the next three months.
A payment of £1,000 from this fund was transferred to the Cathedral Food Bank yesterday.

The Council has also established an initial £500 fund to assist community groups with PPE.
The Council is in possession of 500 pairs (10 boxes of 50 pairs) of disposable gloves, should any group require any. We also have 200 bin bags.
From next Monday the 6th April, we will also have 200 disposable face masks for distribution to the community groups.
Should they be required, from 6th April we will also have access to disposal aprons.
If any community group is struggling for any particular item or supply, please let me know and the office staff will endeavour to assist in acquiring it/them.
